Hi! I'm Louise.

I am a highly experienced teacher of English for Academic Purposes, English for Specific Purposes, Business and General English. I am also an experienced trainer, mentor and academic developer with a proven track record in the writing, development and delivery of outstanding language and training programmes.

I have taught English for over 25 years in universities, FE colleges and language schools all over the world. I worked as an English for Academic Purposes lecturer for 10 years and also have extensive experience of teaching exam classes (including IELTS, and ESOL Skills for Life).

I believe in a learner-centred approach and motivating materials tailored to the goals of each individual student or workplace. With this in mind, I have developed bespoke English & Communication courses for Nursing, Public Health and Engineering.

I led and managed a university CPD (Continuing Professional Development) programme for 2 years, designing and delivering new training and leading the scheme for all staff across the university.
I have a B.A. degree from Oxford University and a Cambridge DELTA (Diploma in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) from London University. I am also a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
